North Carolina had some horrific weather roll through yesterday that caused a lot of damage. Moore county was fortunate because most of it went around us. Our neighboring towns and counties did not fair so well. As I have sat here and watched the news coverage of the devastation, I am saddened at the loss and destruction that so many people are having to cope with. Folks have lost loved ones, their homes, businesses, and some are left with only the clothes on their back , in respect to material things. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of these people. There are going to be such needs for these folks as they try to pick up the pieces and get on with their lives. Now is a great time to reach out a helping hand to your neighbors and others in surrounding areas. I’m sure that there will be much to do and many that will need assistance. Ask around and see what the needs are in you’re area. If you know of someone in need, please get the word out. There are many folks that would love to offer a hand, but are not sure where to go or what to do. I’m sure you can always contact the local Red Cross to see if there are areas that you can assist in. Now is the time for us all to come together and help each other.
